I grew up bilingual, being fluent in both German and English. I am travelling around the world, starting off with Korea (July 2017-July 2018) I love meeting new people, getting to know their language and culture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was ten years old, we went on a family beach holiday to Spain. While standing knee deep in the water, my grandmother shouted and waved at me, but I didn't understand what she was saying. What I thought was "only" water splashing around my legs, turned out to be a small octopus climbing its way up my leg. I couldn't remove it immediately because it stuck to my skin, but eventually, I managed and threw it back into the water and ran.

Als ich zehn Jahre alt war, machten wir einen Familien-Strandurlaub nach Spanien. Ich stand Knie-tief im Wasser, als meine Großmutter mir was zuschrie und mit den Armen wild rumwuchtelte. Aber ich verstand nicht was sie sagte, bis ich merkte, dass es nicht nur Wasser war das um meine Beine rumplätschelte, sondern ein Tintenfisch der langsam mein Bein hoch krochte. Ich konnte ihn nicht sofort abziehen, da er sich sehr fest angesaugt hatte, aber irgendwann schaffte ich es doch. Ich warf ihn zurück ins Wasser und rannte weg.
