I'm currently living in Pittsburgh, PA working in freelance photography. Aside from commercial work, I try to keep a camera with me wherever I go. I spend a lot of time walking and exploring new and familiar spaces. I'm interested in all mediums of art and music, talking about how generational and cultural differences impact communication, and having fun adventures!

I have been investing most of my energy into a new project on intimacy and queer lifestyle. Still very vague, I am very grateful that the Pgh community has been so receptive to my ideas and are helping. The project has established itself within these parameters so far; photographing femme queers in their homes, focusing on the ambiguity of the body by shooting close up making it hard to decipher what one is looking at, and challenging our perception of the naked body. I bring up this project because I hope that wherever I go, if someone is interested in talking more about it and/or being involved, they can reach out.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I am returning back to school in the fall and am trying to make the most of the time I have to travel. In the past year, I have been planning a trip to Berlin, Amsterdam, and potentially Brussels and Antwerp. I will also be traveling with a dear friend who moved from Pittsburgh to Berlin for graduate school at the Freie Universität Berlin. His profile is also on couchsurfing.com. I am interested in meeting passionate people that want to share and connect. My intentions for this trip are to better understand cultures and document through photography and writing the differences in communication, intimacy, aesthetic, and personal expression I find. I hope to be open to what I might find and who I might meet and hope people do too.

I can teach someone to read and write in Spanish. I grew up in a Colombian household. My immediate family lives in Cali and Bogota so I can recommend many places to visit!
