My name is Volodymyr. I'm 20 y.o. I live in Irpin, Kiev region, Ukraine.
I'm a foreign languages teacher at "MOVA" (English/Spanish). Proud vegetarian. Musician.
At the age of 14 I started my YouTube channel recording myself singing at home or posting videos from my concerts. It is something that I have always wished for - to be a musician.
As I grew up I've developed other skills and found other interests that are equaly as important for me as music - accounting, psychology, literature, culture.
I am a very open-minded and accepting person.
I love interacting with people and learning about new cultures.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Since I was 6 years old I was raised by two different families - my biological family and my foster family in Spain.
Every summer from 6 to 18 y.o. I lived and traveled in Spain with my foster family. With them I learnt a lot of new things. They opened new paths for me - educational, moral, self-understanding etc.
I'm very grateful for that experience and I think that Couchsurfing gives kind of a similar experience as I had. It allows people from different cultures to educate themselves through traveling and close interaction with native people. Also it allows us to become more open-minded, to embrace our differences, to evaluate our uniqueness and become understanding towards the cultures we didn't understand (or we didn't bother to do so).
Overall, I think, it helps us build a society (a Cosmopolitan society) where we are not defined by our skin colour, origin of birth, religion, sexuality etc. but rater defines us by being people.

I love horror movies and fantasy - Anabele, Sinister, Harry Potter.
My favorite books are by J.K. Rowling and John Green.

Due to the fact that I'm a teacher I can share my knowledge in foreign languages, but I also am equally interested in getting language practice with native speakers.
I am interested in everything (almost) so I can share my thoughts and opinions on almost everything. And I'm interested in hearing other opinions.
I have big experience in music (singing, song-writing) so this is also something I might help you with while staying.
I can teach you some of my nation's traditional cuisines.
