First started out here backpacking 65 days in Europe in 2019. Met many lasting friendships, memories and great vibes. Was excited to have been able to return the favour by hosting before the pandemic hit.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty was honestly an extremely underrated movie especially with it soundtrack and specifically, Stay Alive by Jose Gonzalez. Still, beyond Indie genres, I do enjoy the occasional dose of the very best on Netflix. Of course, it'll be great if you could spare me One ticket to Farhampton, please.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

8 Degrees Celsius, stranded in 40 km per hour winds and having arrived from a tropical sunny island, I hugged my rifle closer to me as I dragged myself onward through the mud for shelter. Suddenly, out came the outskirts of a village and a people who offered food and shelter to strangers they've never met, strangers who were on foreign soil, armed to the teeth and in their uniforms.

More than the most amazing thing I've ever done, this was the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me.

An entire country whose native language has become English within a single generation from multiple different tongues and is now one of the greatest stories of decolonization? A place where people walk the streets at 3 am without fear and live in an abode of peace while matching the capitals of the world. This is Singapore, and what we can share is the weird concoction that makes up our sunny island home.
