Hi, I'm Marina!!

I am 22 years old and I'm from Barcelona. Industrial engineering student in Barcelona from September to June, and when I have holidays l love to travel.

My biggest dream is to discover every corner of our planet, to see with my own eyes the wonders of the world and the most impressive landscapes. I love to travel, and when I finish a trip I'm already thinking of the following one: the place, what I'm going to visit, experiences that I can live there ... I love people and cultural exchange.

I like to keep busy in my daily life: living new experiences or making plans with my friends. Life may be too short to be lazy!

I also like sports a lot, in particular basketball. I have been playing in a team for more than ten years, but the best thing about playing this sport is playing with your friends and share this passion with them.

An important part of my life is also the cooperation. I have done volunteer both in Barcelona and in Mali (Africa) where two years ago I travelled alone, and which I currently have projects for cooperation with a NGO.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the best way to know a country deeply is meeting its people and its traditions closely. And that is achieved by living with locals. They can be the best you can take of the country, and the made links that make you love the country visited much more than if you were in a hostel / hotel.

Cultural exchange is an easy wealth to obtain with experiences like Couchsurfing, and it's amazing for both the hosts and the surfers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Live with an African family in Mali for a month. Know their culture, traditions, lifestyle and way of thinking. There was where I realized that to be happy you don't need anything, just being surrounded by good people and good vibes.
