I'm studying inclusive education as my major and psychology as minor, here in southern Finland, University of Turku. My freetime is filled with organizing events related to climate campaigns, chilling at cultural events such as gigs, and listening to podcasts while walking and doing my part-time job as a cleaner. I'm into drawing, writing, reading both scientific and fictional books, and one of my hobbies is ice swimming ❄
When trying to wind down I love watching some series, mostly drama and thrillers.

My name, Kanerva, means heather, the flower. I consider myself as a nature lover, I love being outdoors and taking care of my houseplants. So I guess the Latin proverb, nomen est omen, manifests in me.

I'm easily inspired and interested in a variety of things, so it's rather difficult to write it down briefly!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing sounded fun because I don't own a couch since my apartment is quite tiny, and I have never tried surfing either! Hopefully I'll get to know a lot of nice couches and their owners via this site.
