I am a student from Czech Republic who would like to start exploring the world. So far, I have travelled mostly within the borders of my country which has been amazing because Czech has a lot to offer but there is so much more than just our almost 79 000 km2 - and I want to see it all!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because of my friend who has been talking about it for so long and now when the time of our first big trip came I gave in and decided to give it a go.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to almost everything. I love movie soundtracks and I stand by the saying that a good music makes a good movie. My favourite composers are among others Hans Zimmer, Alexandre Desplat, James Horner, Jóhann Jóhannsson or Thomas Newman. I have many favourite artists and bands, for example Ed Sheeran, All Time Low, OneRepublic, Linkin Park, Imagine Dragons, Harry Styles, Shawn Mendes, Fall Out Boy, Machine Gun Kelly, The Vamps, Bea Miller, James Arthur, Tom Odell,... and, of course, some czech musicians such as Chinaski, Tomas Klus and others. If you show me what you listen to, there is quite a big chance of me liking it.

When it comes to movies, I like wide variety of movies. I get really into dramatic movies with deep meanings and great story lines, as well as into stupid teenage movies that have almost no value whatsoever. My personal favourites are: The Theory of Everything, The Shawshank Redemption, Rush, Dirty Dancing, Love Rosie, White Chicks, any Nicholas Sparks type of movie, Cars, Les Miserables, Interstellar and many more.

I love to read. I like to try new genres and authors but I really enjoy the theme of World War II. My favourite books are All Quiet on the Western Zone, The Darkest Hour, Different Seasons, Storyteller, To Kill a Mockingbird, Angels and Demons and others. And my guilty pleasure is any book by Nicholas Sparks, he is amazing.
