About Me

I'm Grazia, a passionate free soul addicted to travels and adventures.
My purpose in life is traveling around the world and catch all the positive aspects life can give to me.
Every travel gives me new knowledges and I like sharing what I learn with other people who have the same passion and can understand me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that couchsurfing is a good way to meet new people and to learn about the local culture.
The authenticity of the journey is in the people you meet during the way. I think that every person you meet in life will change you and will give you something. So I do believe in sharing cultures through couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

After my year abroad in the Dominican Republic I can't live without latin music and dances. I love bachata, merengue, salsa and reggaeton. Romeo Santo, Juan Luis Guerra and other Dominican singers simply drive me crazy. My heart beats with bachata rhythm.
I listen to different kind of music depending on the mood and on the language I want to listen to (pop, latin music, rap, commercial)
I love reading no matter what, my favorite are Cortázar, Márquez, Allende, Dan Brown, Baricco and more.
I love poetry as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most incredible thing I have ever done is having an exchange experience abroad for one year when I was 17. I lived in a host family in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and it was the best year of my life. It was the greatest challange ever and I learned how to appreciate life and different cultures.
Now I have two families and a lot of homes around the world.

I've also done 4 Erasmus, 2 in Germany (Essen and Berlin) for a total of 9 months, 1 in Bordeaux (France) and 1 in Málaga (Spain).
Every occasion is worthy to live a new experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

"20 years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. EXPLORE. DREAM. DISCOVER."
This is my motto. This is my way to be and see the world. I always try to catch all the opportunities that life can offer me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Apart of a big smile, I can offer good conversation about my culture, experiences, art, literature, life, whatever comes up.
I could cook some Italian dishes too.
