My name is Tessa, I am 19 years old and from Germany. At the moment I am in Canada and planning to stay here for one year. I love getting to know new people and make new friends, talk about all kinds of stuff and just have a good time with others. I am pretty open minded and like to get to know as many cultures as possible, which is why I want to travel a lot in the future.
I love to draw and I do lots of it in my spare time. I want to become a tattoo artist, already did an internship in a tattoo studio in UK but I thought that before being hit by real life/work life I would do this gap year and collect experiences in a different country because this is pretty much a once-in-a-lifetime chance.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just arrived in Canada and thought that this might be the easiest way to get to know locals. Besides, it's probably the fastest way to find out about the life, culture and holidays like thanksgiving, which we don't have in Germany.

Music
I mostly listen to Rock and Metal but I'm open for every kind of music. Classic music isn't too bad either, considering that I played the violin for a few years

Movies
Every movie with a good story is good with me. I don't care about the genre as long as the movie captures my attention, even though I love Marvel, Batman, Horror movies and stuff like that. I also binge watch a lot of series.

Books
Reading is a passion that I can't seem to find enough time for. I love the smell of books and to just get lost in the stories, whether it's fantasy, romance or a thriller

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are interested in arts I can help to improve your drawing skills or just share some experiences or ideas. Since my mother tongue is German, I can also help with improving yours or tell you about German culture. Since I love cooking, it would be nice to learn some 'typical Canadian dishes' as well as I can show you some from Germany. I always wanted to learn skating or play the guitar.
