About Me

Hello!

I'm Shawn Pyo, the newbie traveler:)

I'm a south Korean and college student majoring in business administration.

I travelled Tokyo, Japan and Beijing, China.

They gived me good memories but I was not a person who enjoy traveling other countries.

I preferred domestic trips with my friends.

Thesedays I just have an interesting in overseas trips especially Europe.

I love music(K-pop, pop, hiphop, edm, a little bit classic and jazz) and movies(romantic comedy, sience fiction, action, noir etc).

Drinking beers with new friends is one of my favorite things.

I can make Korean style cocktails like Somac that's mixed some spirituous liquors and beers.

I wish our meeting gonna be good times.

Thank you for reading my introduction! Bon voyage~

Music, Movies, and Books

Good lyrics reminds me last moments that are good, sad, happy, lovely and excited etc.

So I like music written well.

Mostly K-pop, because I'm not good at other languages:)

I can recommand one song.

'Bolbbalgan4 - We loved'

It's K-pop but you can find english sub on the youtube.

Its break up song.

Good lyrics, vocals, and melodies. enjoy it!

I like the movie that has a tight plot, fresh displays and great lines.

Recently 'Kingsman' and 'La La Land' impressed me.

'Kingman's fireworks head blow scene made me clap.

I said "Damn, Its master piece!"

I think that scene shows the director's outstanding sense.

And 'La La Land's last scene.... Its toooooooo dramatic.

The story and 'mise_en_scene' are really good.

I think It make a movie finish perfectly.

I love korean novels.

the writter 'Bum Shin Park' s 'Dangshin'(It means 'You') is one of my favorite novel.

Its about four persons tragedy.

There are a family( mom, dad and a daughter) and a biological dad who mom really loved also dad's old friend.

The dad love her wife entire life devotedly but get an Alzheimer disease enter the twilight of his life.

Then he changed, he treat her violently.

She cant forget her lover(daughter's biological dad) but she loves husband from her husband's violence act started.

She think husband never been frank his emotion, but his violence is real emotion. So she care him devotedly.

Her daughter in the middle of this tangle.

And to conclude, nobody gains a lover affection from who they really love.

this novel is about 'Irony of emotions'.

It still lingers in my mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Korea, Most students can't experience something that are outside of school.

Because in our culture, Following what parents want is like a responsibility of child and most parents want to enter the good university for getting good occupation, neither am I.

But when I was 18, I don't want to live like that.

So I did what I want. Founding my hip hop brand.

I did a part time job, rapped on a club and design own t-shirts.

2 years later, when money was pretty accumulated, I found my brand and went to Japan for selling my t shirts.

As a result, totally screwed up :)

But that experience make me face the system and change my world view.

And I'm my own man.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am not good at English very well but you want to talk with me, then I rightly can be a good companion :)

I can share experiences and knowledges about South Korea. K-pop, politics, economy(Samsung, Hyndai are Korean companies and they have their own 'arm maker', I'm sure you heard this fact for the firstime) etc.

It will be pretty good time by comparison with your country.

and I'm not a meddler, I respect your space and don't expect big favor.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Japan
