我做过的一件不可思议的事情

This experience was in Sweden, Stockholm:
The meeting point was a metro station with my host in the late afternoon. She wanted to come by metro but suddenly she was staying behind me, telling me, that she is sorry, she has no time, she needs to do a night shift.

I was shocked in this moment and was prepared to start searching a hostel but she just opened her hand and handed me her keys over. Her colleague drove me to her flat and there I was a stranger sitting alone in someone else's flat :) just exchanged one e-mail before.
Her shift ended at midnight, so we had a fast tea and a short chat before I went to bed to reach my flight 5 hours later.
