Hey! We are Patrick and Suze both 22 years old and we are from the Netherlands. We have been living for 3 years in a city called Groningen.

We met while travelling solo in Australia in 2017 and have since travelled quite a bit as it is one of the things we enjoy most.

We have travelled throughout Australia, Asia, Central America and through several countries in Europe. At the moment we have been travelling through Mexico for 3 months.

We have recently finished our bachelor. I (Patrick) completed my bachelor in International Business and Suze did her bachelor in Psychology. We will both start our masters in September 2022. Currently we have a gap year so we hope to travel quite a lot.

We both have been eating vegan for quite some time now. We would love to cook a vegan meal if you are interested :)

We enjoy visiting new countries, seeing new cultures and we feel that we are quite talkative and energetic.

We both enjoy reading, learning new stuff and discovering new vegan food. Also we LOVE dogs. We have just finished volunteer work at a dog shelter in Puerto Escondido.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because we love to meet new people and learn new things from them.

It is always good to meet people from other countries because sometimes they have other ideas or just know stuff because they are from a certain country. Which makes no conversation boring.

Interests

Travelling is just our favorite interest. We love to see new cultures. Although we also like our Dutch culture and going home is not a punishment. We have recently discovered the sauna which we really like. We both like to read books but only if University allows us in our spare time. Since reading our Uni books covers a lot of our time. We like hanging out with our friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all sorts of music depending on my mood. Suze is generally into pop whereas we can also enjoy rock, jazz and blues. Suze her favorite movie is Interstellar, I also rate this one highly and we love to watch Friends and How I met your mother. Our genre of books are all over the place. Sometimes I tend to enjoy non-fiction a tad more but that can always change.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rode a scooter through different countries in Asia. The feeling of being free and melting with the hectic travel there is something I really like.
