I am intersted in almost everything in life and in this world. And try to help make this world more humane and just. I was born in Sri Lanka and have been living in Ecuador over the last 20+ years. I was trained in 'civil' engineering but now trying to make it more civil (what they teach is really military engg) making it more socially responsible and humane. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started travelling in 1977, since I entered the university and never stopped. I travel to meet people, learn about their lives and share experiences on making this world a better and just place for all. I have now travelled to about 55 countries, never with a guide, except my nose. I travel always by public transport and stay with people's homes whenever I can. I don't have a house of my own, so I can't host people, except those my wife can accept (who is the owner). But I can guide people about all the countries that I have visited and help with contacts in many places in the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

all my life, I never 'worked' , with the aim of earning money. But I managed to travel and get to know some 55 countries. Since I do what I want to do, I don't need relax time. I enjoy working 18 hours a day, the rest I sleep.
