I am an adventurous, young at heart 60 year old female who would love to meet local citizens all over the world. I work in the Neonatal ICU at one of the major private hospitals in Cape Town. I love animals, especially cats and volunteer at cat shelters. Once a year I volunteer at CARE, the biggest Baboon rehabilitation centre in South Africa as well as Bambelela, rehabilitationcentre for vervet monkeys. We bring up baby baboons who come to the centre after mom was shot or killed in MVA or have been abandoned. These animals have just touched my heart and I find them the biggest source of soul food.

I have always been interested in other cultures: their lifestyle, cuisine, beliefs and daily activities. It is very enriching to be challenged with new experiences. The best way to do this is by living with them and experience it first hand and not in a book!
