I'm Léa. I'm 21. I'm from Reunion Island, a small French Island near Madagascar. I love travelling. I think travelling offers the opportunity to explore new horizons and to enrich ourlives in many many ways. I'm currently travelling alone but I've met a lot of people from different backgrounds, with different histories and I really enjoy that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I actually just want to try it. I think it's quite original. I l like the fact that is based on solidarity and mutual exchanges. Moreoever, sharing a house with people offers the opportunity to genuinely connect with your hosts. Meeting people with local knowledge is also a plus. When you live in a country, there are definitely some things you know that travellers don't. Where to do some cheap shopping, where is the best bakery in town, the hidden places where you can have fun and enjoy nature.

In any case, either you share your house or not, I think it can be a great experience.

And I'd be happy to welcome you if you ever come to my beautiful island.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm still young but I think it was during one of my trips. I remember when I was studying in England, the library was opened 24/7 and I was there trying to finish my report on due time. I couldn't use the references website at all. I was panicked. The due date was the day after. A vietnamese girl just stopped her job even though she was just as late as I were, and she helped me to do it.

The same when I was in SouthAfrica in a family and they were like mine for real.

I love when humans permit themselves to show the best of themselves to others. I love this connection there is with people when you are sharing the same experiences, the same difficulties, or just the same point of view. I think life is a lot about that.
