Perhaps the people I meet here can share their hometown with me sometime, too.
The best way to share my city with visitors is by urban biking... if you want to be hosted, you should be eager to explore the parks and falls on bike on the way to good (& cheap) chinese food in the Erode and nearby districts.

I m the Organizer of Erodai History Research Centre and Erodai Heritage Walk club
Erode, Kodumanal Heritage walk has resulted in Ancient Historic evidences finds , informs Southern Archaeological Research Forum.
Southern Archaeological Research Forum organized a
Erode heritage walk has organized a walk in the archaeological site Kodumanal, Erode. This event was coordinated by Erode Rajeev Velan ( Velu ). Manganur A.Manikandan, founder Southern Archaeological Research Forum, President Karu.Rajendran, and the member of research team Mr.M.Muthukumar participated in this event.
During this walk the members found and identified remnants of archaeological evidences. Things made of iron, pottery, stone ball were among the findings.
Manikandan further adds Kodumanal sits in the Perunthurai TK, of Erode District, to be precise it in the west of Chennimalai and in the north side of The Noiyaal. Kodumanal Archaeological site was first discovered and identified by Poet Rasu, and Selvi Muththaiya. This site is known for frequent visits by the Department state archaeology. Tamil University of Tanjore had also conducted a survey in this area. Several Historical facts had been published after those surveys. A piece of pottery with inscription of Tamizhi, which dates back to 500 BC, was found and announced by University of Pandichery . During those surveys around 300 burial sites were found and brought to the public notice.
Archaeological Findings of Heritage Walk
Several items which are archaeologically important were found in the Heritage walk, they are stone tools, graffiti on pottery, colored pottery with stick figures, broken part of a iron sword,
laterite iron wastes, broken glass ball, sharpening stones, catapult stone, broken bangles made of sea shells.
Velusamy, coordinator of this event informs that these findings will be exhibited in glass showcase and will be made accessible to the researchers.
K.Rajendran remembered the prior archaeological surveys and their findings. Nearly 20 members had taken part in the heritage walk.
