About Me

I’m someone passionate about nature, travel, and continuous learning. I hold a PhD in environmental sciences and love combining my knowledge with cultural and human experiences around the world.

I was born in Colombia, a country rich in biodiversity and culture, and I've had the privilege of living and studying in Italy, which opened my eyes to even more perspectives and ways of life.

I enjoy exploring unique places, meeting authentic people, and sharing interesting stories. I’m adaptable, curious, and always open to learning something new from those around me. I’m also deeply interested in topics such as conservation, sustainability, and the positive impact we can have on the planet.

In my free time, I love to walk, read, take photos of landscapes, and get lost in deep conversations. I'm also open to trying new experiences and learning from other cultures, so I'm always ready for a good adventure!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe in the power of travel to bring people together and create meaningful connections. I love exploring new places and meeting people from different cultures, and Couchsurfing offers a unique opportunity to connect with locals, share experiences, and learn from each other.

I enjoy both hosting and being hosted, as it allows me to offer hospitality and also learn more about the world through others’ perspectives. It’s not just about staying somewhere, but about creating memories and building friendships that last.

Couchsurfing helps me step out of my comfort zone, make new friends, and enrich my travels with authentic, local experiences that you can’t find in guidebooks. Plus, it's a great way to contribute to the global community of travelers and adventurers.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music
I enjoy a wide variety of music, from relaxing acoustic melodies to more energetic beats. I’m particularly drawn to Latin music, such as salsa and cumbia (i hate reggaeton), but I also love listening to classic rock, indie bands, and even electronic music. Music is a big part of my life because it helps me connect to different moods and moments in time.

Movies
I’m a fan of movies that make you think and evoke strong emotions. I love documentaries, especially those related to nature, science, and human cultures. I also enjoy good storytelling, whether it’s in dramas, comedies, or thrillers. Some of my favorite films include classics like The Pursuit of Happyness, Into the Wild, and Amélie.

Books
Books are one of my passions. I enjoy reading a mix of fiction and non-fiction. I'm particularly interested in topics related to environmental science, sustainability, and human behavior. Some of my favorite authors are Gabriel García Márquez, Yuval Noah Harari, and Jane Austen. I also love reading novels that transport me to different places and times, like works by authors such as Haruki Murakami and Isabel Allende.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I’ve done was spend several months in a remote part of Colombia, working on a conservation project in the Colombian Caribbean coast. I had the opportunity to collaborate with local communities and researchers to protect endangered species and preserve the delicate ecosystem. The experience was eye-opening, not just because of the wildlife and nature, but because of the incredible people I met along the way and the deep connection I formed with the environment.

It was a challenging and transformative experience that taught me a lot about resilience, community, and the importance of protecting our planet. I’ll always carry those lessons with me, and it remains one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach
I love sharing my knowledge, especially when it comes to environmental topics like sustainability, conservation, and biodiversity. I’ve worked on many projects involving environmental research and would be excited to teach others about the importance of protecting our planet. I also enjoy sharing practical skills, like photography, outdoor survival basics, or even language exchange, particularly Spanish.

Learn
I’m always eager to learn from others, especially when it comes to different cultures, traditions, and ways of thinking. I enjoy exchanging ideas and perspectives with people who have diverse backgrounds and experiences. There’s so much to learn from each individual, whether it’s a new language, cooking technique, or cultural practice.

Share
Sharing stories and experiences is something I truly value. Whether it’s a conversation about travel, an exciting adventure, or a book recommendation, I believe in the power of shared knowledge. I also enjoy sharing my love for nature, whether through hiking, photography, or just soaking in the beauty of the world around us.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my knowledge and passion for nature, sustainability, and environmental sciences. I love discussing ways to protect the environment and can offer insights on conservation projects or sustainable practices that can be implemented in daily life.

I also bring a curiosity and open-mindedness that makes me an engaging and respectful guest. Whether it's a conversation about culture, science, or life in general, I enjoy learning from and sharing with others.

In addition, I’m always happy to cook a traditional Colombian meal, share stories about my travels, or introduce you to some of my favorite books and music. I can also help with small tasks, whether it’s organizing, tidying up, or offering assistance with any projects you might have.

Above all, I’m happy to offer a warm and friendly presence and create lasting memories through shared experiences.
