Almost 30 years ago I was born in Hamilton, Ontario. After living allmost all my life in the Netherlands (except last year, lived in Mexico) I'm very excited to go to Canada and experience life there.

I'm an easy going Dutch guy who likes some drinks in a bar but definately is cool with Netflix on the couch from time to time as well. I like to do whatever sports as long as while I'm doing it, I'm not confined by walls. Past year I finished my studies, I can officially introduce myself as a historian now. I love to meet people from all over the world and learn about different perspectives, ideas and cultures. Because of that I decided to quit my job and experience the world outside Europe. I went to Mexico and Guatemala, went back to Mexico to run a hostel and now I'm thrilled to explore Canada!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I like to see places through the eyes of the people who live there. Couch surfing makes the first contact way easier so you can go right to the sweet spots which are not in the lonely planet. Furthermore I love the idea of opening your house for someone and sharing time with each other. As a rower I slept on a lot of different couches in the Netherlands and a lot of other rowers slept on mine. I'm excited to do the same abroad!

I speak Dutch, German and English and I'm learning Spanish. I love to eat tasty food, currently I'm trying to figure out the secret of preparing a fish taco Mexican style. Past year was full of life experience for me from which I can share some really interesting stories

Laidback down to earth Dutch living style. Lots of stories, been a student and bartender in Groningen for 8 years. Help with some languages. Im a decent cook so I can cook you a nice meal.
