About Me

(meu perfil está em inglês mas chama no chat que a gente fala br)

Instagram: @milvogabriel

I'm currently studying Environmental Engineering at the Federal University of Goiás - Goiânia, doing scientific initiation, coordinating volunteers for the Global Landscapes Forum and mentoring a social project for the University, which aims to provide voluntary educational assistance to kids that are with cancer and can't keep up with school.

I'm fascinated by how awesome people can be, everything I study and work with is related to people and how we can progress together for a more sustainable, united and tolerant world. You feel me?

Open minded, staying positive as much as I can, constantly trying to figure out what I can do to improve myself personally and professionally while enjoying life one day at a time!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I traveled to lots of places and was welcomed in the house of many amazing people. My apartment is big enough to provide someone a place to stay and have a good time - fundamental things to keep up with the journey huh?

Interests

I love to talk, to hang out, to get to know cultures and places, to listen and to share stories, listen to good music, drink good quality beer and wine (beer, preferably). I'm very into environmental, tech and social topics!

My family and life taught me how important is be respectful, kind and honest with others, so you can totally expect that from me :)

Uuuuh very important, I'm learning the electric guitar and I play beach volleyball on Sunday mornings.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Rock, hip hop, rap, Brazilian music (I'm not into sertanejo, sorry fellows), Brazilian funk to dance.

Books: I have read many! Homo Deus, Ego is your Enemy, Silmarilliom, Hobbit, Mindset, Origins (Neil deGrasse Tyson), The Richest man in Babylon... I mostly read books in the area where I need to improve myself on or would like to learn more about.

Movies: The boy who harnessed wind, Avatar, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, Green Book... I don't watch too much movies (not too much time) and I'm documentary enthusiast.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I helped to create a climate change oriented theater play for kenyan kids in the country's countryside. The plottwist? The kids didn't spoke English, so we had to teach other kids that did speak English all the topics so they could create and act themselves.

The most amazing part? It has been a year, they are still doing it.

Teach, Learn, Share

English, Brazilian Portuguese, environmental subjects, technology, social entrepreneurship, trips around the world, astronomy, volleyball, Goiânia, electric guitar, Brazilian culture, I don't know there so much stuff wow I'm confused.

What I Can Share with Hosts

What a question! Really, I'm a very active guy so I'm always looking for ways to interact and connect with people. I'm really into talking about subjects that matter for humanity as well as the ones that don't haha.

I can teach some good (mostly bad) words in Brazilian Portuguese for my international friends, I can try to sing if you sing with me and if nobody judges me. I know how to make brigadeiro and caipirinha, we just have to make sure we have materials available...

I had traveled and talked with people of many cultures, I read books on various areas and did many many projects, I even founded and was the president of an NGO in Brazil so I'm sure we can talk about... well... why the sky is blue or things like that?

I'm not particularly religious or spiritual kind of guy, but I'm very open to visit and to know different ideologies.

Well, I'm sure we can find something but hopefully my company, good sense of humor (I'll try my best) and idk, maybe I can bring some beers? Let me know.
