About Me

(Even that I've done this several times already I still don't know where to start!)

Well...

Hey everybody! My name is Jana and I’m from not well known country Czech Republic.
Believe me or not, I really suck at describing myself.

I should start with things that I like, shouldn’t I?
There are plenty of them so I'll try to pick my most favourite ones!
I really like drawing and art in general, sleeping, and procrastinating. I’m really into cosplay, comics, art, books and fantasy, music & travelling. Also training dogs (or just spending time with them) is a blessing!
I like sports as well, I'm a huge fan of snowboarding and I want to learn how to surf one day, also skateboard is something I'm definitely going to learn soon as possible. I like roller blading, biking, hiking, and basketball, I've been climbing mountains for a while, before I realized how scared of heights I am. Does coffee drinking and cafeteria hounting counts?

I'm hella sarcastic and I swear sometimes, so I'm really sorry if you are my future host. But I am very energetic, and sometimes really awkward (in a good way I hope) and a bumpkin! I also like to think I'm funny, don't ruin that for me, haha!

I was trying to learn Japanese, but I haven’t got enough time, so I stayed only with English and German (I suck at German more than in Math). Lately (since the beginning of 2019) I've started to learn Norwegian and I'm more than into that!

I'm about to move out to England at the end of the August 2019, I'm starting university in Cardiff in game art! Currently I'm studying journalism and economy (and I hate economy so freaking much).

My special power is constantly changing my hair colour, so please don't run away if I show up with pink hair!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think everyone logged into this page because they are really passionate about travelling! I haven't travelled that much which I really regret doing, so I all about catching everything I've missed.
For me it's my life dream, I want to see all the different cultures, countries, people all around the world.

I am also way too friendly and meeting new people is almost like a hobby for me, haha!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge Marvel fan. But Ironman, Captain and Spiderman (from Homecoming) are almost like a religion.

MUSIC
I love rock and "harder music" as well as pop and rap and indie and classic... I'd say I can listen to everything! I listen to songs more than bands so it's difficult for me to name specific bands.
But from my favourites:
Arctiv Monkeys, Hollywood Undead, The Neighbourhood, Chelou, Glass Animals, The Score, Billie Eilish, grandson, Mother Moher, Two Feet, The Atavists, The Rotanas, BUTE, half alive, alt-J, RHCP, Nas, Queen and so many more!

SERIES
For example Lucifer, Shameless, Skam (+remakes), Shadowhunters, Teen Wolf was my childhood, Queer as Folk, Mr. Robot, I've seen several episodes of GoT including the season 8 (with a bit of skipping), also Once upon a time isn't unknown for me.

BOOKS
My recent favourite ones might be On the Road (Kerouac), Howl (Ginsberg), One flew over the cuckoo's nest (Kesey), The Picture of Dorian Gray (Wilde) and my childhood's hero Percy Jackson!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to pick one thing from thousands you've done in your life, from almost unimportant things to the most significant.
For me it goes from exploring countries, across meeting amazing people to donating hair.
So I might mention the last time I've been volunteering! I went to Croatia to plant trees on burned areas in the mountains. It was an amazing Greenpeace action where people from four or five countries got together to help the nature, which was kinda a really strong moment!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am constantly oversharing everything. That means you are going to hear about my country, my surroundings, myself and every unimportant detail I can think of at the moment.
Except of my talking I get complimented that I can draw pretty well, so I might draw you something or teach you something.

There's absolutely more things, but right now I can't think of any, so hopefully you will find out!

I'm also clean and respectful, I promise.
