is the Founder and CEO of Hoops and Hearts, a youth-focused NGO based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. With a strong passion for public service, youth development, and community health, Edmund established Hoops and Hearts to empower young people through sports, civic education, and health awareness. Under his leadership, the organization promotes leadership, unity, and personal development among Tanzanian youth—using basketball as a tool for engagement and transformation. Edmund is committed to building partnerships that support youth resilience, political inclusion, and social innovation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe in cultural exchange, meaningful connections, and learning directly from local communities. As the founder of Hoops and Hearts, a youth-focused NGO in Tanzania, I’m visiting Canada to attend leadership and public administration trainings that will help strengthen my work back home. I hope to connect with open-minded people who share a spirit of kindness, collaboration, and community.
