Hey there stranger! My name is Daphne and I’ve always hated “About Me” sections. So, I was born and raised in the island of Rhodes, Geeece. I’m currently studying Pedagogy at the local University and volunteering to a local school. I try to travel as much as I can and I’ve seen quite a few places but it’s never enough! I love learning the history of each place, see nature and the hidden gems only locals know about and although I’m a picky eater I’ll try the local food. When I’m home I hang out with my friends for beer or wine, play board games, cook, read and plan the next trip ٩◔‿◔۶

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A couple of my friends have been using Couchsurfing for years and I’ve met many many interesting people through them, heard all their stories. I always wanted to experience it myself too, so here I am!

I enjoy mostly rock/ alternative/ progressive rock music. Lately I’ve been really into Steven Wilson and Leprous.
I read all kinds of books and I’m always open to recommendations. My favorite author is Haruki Murakami but the past few months I’ve been really hooked on The Dark Tower by Stephen King.
As for movies I tend to avoid horror. Favorite movies are Interstellar (anything by Christopher Nolan actually), Donnie Darko and all by Hayao Miyazaki.
