About Me

Married to Suzana Mihac (1959). Susan is retired, and I'm a beekeeper. We have income from bees. We are in Dubrovnik during the summer. Here we sell bee products for tourists. In winter we travel and meet new cities and people. We always travel together as a couple, and would like to meet similar people. This is not a requirement, but it is desirable. We have 6 adults and 8 grandchildren. Finally we are free to travel. I speak good English because I lived in South Africa for years. German I understand and speak about 60%. I'm also a longtime firefighter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to visit other countries so I'm a guest of their people. To meet people, customs and states. I want to be with people, see how they live, their customs - how they breathe. I'm not interested in traveling with agencies and tourist guides

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My travel with my car to Africa. I had a valid Croatian passport and a Yugoslavian expired. So I came to the border between RSA and Zimbabwe. Zimbabweans did not recognize the Croatian passport without a visa, and for the Yugoslav passport, my visa did not need it then. Of course they returned me to the RSA for a visa for the Croatian Passport. I sat in the car, pulled out the old Yugoslav Passport, and since 1993 I made it back to 1998. With that I came back to Zimbabwe where the policeman asked me why I did not immediately give a Yugoslav Passport because I could do it wherever I wanted. To find out what I did, I could end up in Zimbabwe's prison without much talk. Fortunately, everything went well.
