Hey, I'm Sophie, 25 years old. I've lived in The Hague for the past 3 years, studied International Studies and worked at the theatre, the beach and a biological supermarket. My life has been quite busy and stressful throughout the last time and I have finally saved enough money to go on a little travel :) I wanna enjoy some time off, walking around in nature and taking the scary step of leaving my comfort zone again!
I'm planning to walk the camino del norte in Spain and possibly making some stops on the way in France and Portugal. Looking forward to meeting new people and sharing some moments of life together! 🌿✨️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've only done couchsurfing a few years ago with a good friend who really inspired me to try it again! So here I am :)
I want to share my experiences and thoughts with people I don't know, who have different backgrounds and have been shaped by different things. Moreover, I'd like to try new food, see how people all over the world live and what moves them.

Interests

In general I love being outside and I love nature. I enjoy walking through cities that are new to me or biking or skating. Just feeling the air and the sun and wind makes me really happy. Even though I like meeting other human beings and being around friends, I need to be alone from time to time, I need the silence and the peace you can find with yourself and nature.
I am interested in intercultural interactions, languages, postcolonial thought, Latin America and much more :)
