Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I’m hitchhiking from Asia to Europe to Africa to connect with locals (as well as travelers) who pick me up from the side of the road! I’ve had the most amazing experiences in this trip just by hitching rides from place to place! When I feel like it, I walk from state to state, border to border! I also camp in the wild and stay in the homes of local people. I believe that MONEY IS NOT THE ONLY CURRENCY IN THE WORLD and that you can exchange other things besides banknotes.

-I've hitchhiked all over Southeast Asia! I flagged down a boat in Myanmar and got a ferry for free in Indonesia!

-I travel without a plan, so anything can happen! I stumble upon random mountain villages and participate in their festivals. I stay with a local family and help them in their small snack shop. I crash and get invited to weddings, local parties and birthdays. I stayed with a lama for one week in Tibet, and these all happened by saying YES!

share firsthand knowledge of Filipino culture, if you are interested in discovering more about the Philippines. We are very different from our neighboring countries in Southeast Asia, especially in terms of politics and religion. Besides culture and the country’s socioeconomc status, I can also share to you information about the best islands you can visit in my country. I’ve backpacked 32 / 81 provinces in the Philippines, so I do have a good insider knowledge of my home.

-As I’ve said above, I can practice speaking in English with you, if you wish to brush up on your skills. I can also teach you my native language.

-I can share crazy stories about my adventures. I have accumulated quite a lot, since I like doing spontaneous things.

-I know it’s not a common topic, but I can share with you my advocacies, such as fighting the stigma towards mental health illnesses. As a person diagnosed with bipolar disorder, I can tell you more about what living with the illness is like, and why you shouldn’t tell me that everybody has depressing days. I am very open about my disorder, so do not be afraid to ask away.

-We can talk about any kind of art—music, dance, photography, sculpture, etc—since I am very interested in the humanities. Also, FREE UKULELE LESSONS!!
