About Me

Hey folks!

I'm Sebastian, a very open-minded and fun guy, who recently discovered how much he likes travelling. I study psychology in the beautiful town of Münster (which I'm willing to leave rather sooner for a larger city). In my free time I always enjoy a great night out, concerts, music, competitive sports, hitting the gym, watching football and since my UK trip modern art which I know extremely little about but I like the idea that you can literally do what you want and call it art.

My biggest hobby is playing the drums which I've done since 2003 (since the release of School of Rock actually).

I specialized in the field of cognitive neurosciences because the way our brain works is not only intriguing and fantastic; it is also literally everything that makes one the way he/she is. Let that sink in for a minute a try going on living your normal life knowing that everything you are, everything you crave, everything you experience is somewhere in your brain (even this realization). For me, this is most fascinating and the reason why I study the human brain.

I'm of the opinion that happiness is oftentimes a choice and a matter of viewpoint. Most things that go wrong for you are mostly simply funny once you stop complaining. Once you accept the things that you cannot change in that moment it gives you the energy to focus on those you can change.

Another credo of mine is that it doesn't matter what you do (sports, drinking, making love, cry, eat healthy, eat unhealthy) is okay if you do it mindfully and with your whole attention. I struggle with that myself often but one point for me is keeping the time I spend using my phone limited.

I've lived in San José (Costa Rica), Madrid, Berlin and Hamburg and like to adapt to new environments.

Since I am a poor student I couldn't afford the cost of verifying my profile. I hope this is not as important to you. If you'd like to see a picture of my ID or myself that's no problem.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I LOVE meeting new people and listening to their stories, that's the actual reason why I registered on Couchsurfing.

Also I would love to show you around the city, once you are here in Münster.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once caught like 12 gummybears in a row with my mouth (that might be my most advanced talent).

Also, I slid down Cerro Negro in Nicaracua (see my profile picture), which is on the second place of CNN's bucketlist of the most thrilling things to do in the world (#1 was steering a real jet for 10 seconds, which also costs like 10,000 USD, so if you aren't a millionaire, sliding down Cerro Negro is the actual #1).

Teach, Learn, Share

I can translate you literally every Rammstein song, if you like me to. Also, I'm adept in playing the drums, so if it happens you have a drumkit lying around (as any normal person should) I can show you some fills.
