About Me

A pretty chill dude here. I would describe myself as an intro-extrovert. Which means that mostly in my freetime I stay alone and doing my own stuff but I am not afraid to speak with people or to open up. Only that I am not doing it if it isn't necessary. I stay with my thoughts. I really love reading and writing as well. Creating something is always a pleasure for me. I am mostly into history but I can be curious basically about anything. Following a healthy lifestyle as well. I am not consuming neither alcohol nor tabacco or any drugs/green. I am very well and chill like that. I like to keep my place as liveable as possible too so I am cleaning, washing, cooking, ironing even for myself. And I am all about music. Mostly metal but I listen to every kind of which is played by instrument and has a message. I am referring to: jazz, funk, folk, raggae, some hip hops, classical, etc. Oh and I am not active on socials/online. So if I am not responding immediately, don't worry. I will but not that quickly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well though question. Back in the days when I registered I was so young and full of thirst of knowledge. So I registered here in oreder if I go somewhere probably I would have a place to stay at. I realized by time that it is much more than that. It's about exchange of knowledge, cultures and yes it is about staying at other people's house as well. If I would have to give a specific answer to the question: I wanna repay the generosity to the people which they were offering me in the past.

Interests

I try to be a modern rennaissence man. I am curious basically about anything but as I mentioned earlier mostly I am into history. Other things that I try my hand in is music, languages (currently learning French, German, Latin and Polish), translating, strongman, hiking, cultures, architecture, philosophy and so on.

Music, Movies, and Books

Well, about music as I mentioned earlier. If it has a message and it is played by instrument, I like it. It doesn't matter in what language. For example I love Mongolian throat singers and there is this black'nroll Norwegian band called Kvelertak. I don't understand a word what they sing about but their music is so intense, that I just love it. Books hmm. Mostly historical ones. I am currently reading Robert Middlekauff's The glorious cause, which is a book about the American Revolution between 1775-1783. I have books about the Medicis, Vikings but mostly about Hungarian history. I do read philosophy as well sometimes and professional literature about sports as I am studying to become a PE teacher. Fiction not really. Only fiction that I was reading and liked it too was the Lord of the Rings. Movies are so rare tho. I barely watch a movie or show once in a blue moon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As I am mostly a solo traveller and a spontanious person so I make up things just like that. I was in Esztergom once which is a border city in Hungary and I was thinking why shouldn't I go to Slovakia? So I was getting a water, some snacks and crossed the bridge by feet. At the other end there was Párkány/Štúrovo which is Slovakia already. And I was there for that whole day. Or once I was in Poland and I was bored. So I went to the bus station and I got a ticket on the first bus that came. Didn't matter where it went, I just wanted to visit a new place. So I was discovering the little town of Tykocin and its castle.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know what could I say here. The main thing about me/us in general is to know that we are Hungarians living in Romania. So only our citizenship is Romanian. Altough we mostly know Romanian too, our culture, our traditions, our way of living, even our language is Hungarian. It is because with the treaty of Trianon which was signed by Hungary and the Antant in 4th of June 1920 Transylvania and Partium became a part of Romania. It was a Hungarian territory before so that is why we remained out of the borders. This creates some tensions between us and Romanians from time time. But if we can accept each other and live in harmony and peace I am not against them at all.

What I Can Share with Hosts

In my appartment which I am renting in Cluj there are two sofas in a seperate room. So if my father and brother aren't here (cause they mostly work in Cluj too), I can host you there. It's a really tiny place but in the very end of the city but the forest is close. I can take you on trips if I have time and I am not working. Or I can show you around the city or talk about the region and it's history. You don't have to bring anything to me. I mean it's up to you, if you want you can but I am not expecting you to bring anything. Just be a good human being and have respect towards me. Than I'll give you my respect as well.
