Overview
About Me
I am a 23 y/o psychology graduate who loves to explore both my inner and outer world and meet like-minded, conscious humans along the way.
I consider myself to be a social activist, and eco-warrier, and believe that steps toward creating a just world can be achieved through individual's efforts to change their immediate environment.
I grew up on a horse stables in County Kerry, Ireland, and have an undying love for nature and animals. I love the intimacy you can achieve with the earth, by grounding your hands and feet on the soil. I am happiest hiking and exploring the wild (preferably barefoot), and connecting with animals and plants alike.
I am very passionate about creating all kinds of art, and think that creating art with others creates magical moments and forms connections that words cannot begin to describe. I'm currently completing an art therapy course, and can definitely see myself pursuing a career as an art therapist later down the line! I love working with any art medium, but am in my calmest state when painting! I have recently started to make jewelry by wrapping crystals and stones, and thoroughly enjoy putting so much loving intention into these beautiful pieces.
I am a dedicated yogini, and daily practice is very important to me. Yoga is not just a practice, it’s a way of life. I do my best to live my truth, and to live a life full of love and intention. For 6 months I lived in Rishikesh, studying and teaching yoga. I wish to share my knowledge of and passion for yoga with others, as well as continuing to learn as much as I can!
I would love to learn more about non-violent communication.
Last year I spent three months living in Greece volunteering with Yazidi refugees at Serres refugee camp. I strongly feel that we should live in a world without national borders, and borders in our hearts that discriminate and facilitate the suffering of other human beings.
I am completely in love with this weird and wonderful life and everything that comes with the experience :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would like to use couch surfing to see the nooks and crannies of this planet by meeting the most beautifully real people and to witness how they experience the world. I strongly feel as though I have lots to share with anyone who I get the pleasure of sharing space with throughout my travels, including delicious vegan cooking, art music, and many belly-laughs! Creating symbiotic relationships and honest connections with people are definitely experiences I truly find meaning in.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is the language of the soul, and I genuinely love it all! I do not have any preferred genre, I just listen to whatever speaks to me (which is funk music a lot of the time ;) ). I stopped playing music for many years for various reasons, but am just starting to get back into it! I am learning the drums, and re-learning the flute and piano! I will be travelling with my flute, so am totally willing to pass on any knowledge I have. I love to try all new instruments, and am very excited to play instruments I have never even heard of before on my travels!
Some of my all time favourite artists include Prince, Fleetwood Mac, Anne Peebles, Stevie Wonder, Carole King, Bill Withers, Erykah Badu, Mac Demarco... the list goes on! :)
I buy more books than I can swallow, but generally love anything that I can learn and grow from. I also enjoy getting lost in fiction!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was in a race to Rome via two mystery European check-points (London and Milan) with no money two years ago, all to raise funds for the Movember Foundation.

Teach, Learn, Share
I'm currently completing a Teaching English as a Foreign Language course, so I am able to teach English. As I previously said, I am more than willing to share my musical knowledge of flute and drums with anyone who would like to play!
