About Me
Hello profile visitor!
I'm Katja and I'm a Geography student who loves improvising and drinking tea and chatting and eating. Originally I'm from Ljubljana, Slovenia, but I've studied in Glasgow for three years now.
I enjoy spending time outdoors, particularly hiking and going on adventures to the Scottish Islands. One of the highlights for me so far has been travelling from Durres (Albania) through Macedonia to Thessaloniki (Greece,) mostly on foot.
I'm quite an extroverted person - love having people over for food, music and games, or going to the pub. On the other hand I'm not a big fan of clubbing.
I'm vegetarian, so while it is not a requirement for guests to have the same lifestyle it'd be great if you could respect that when you are in the apartment :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've already have some great experiences hosting and staying with people through my flatmate's profile so I'm looking to join the community more actively now.
I love the interactions which arise from going from strangers to flatmates in a matter of minutes - the talks, cultural exchanges and fun that I've experienced is so special and I hope to continue meeting new interesting people in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite directors include Richard Linklater and Alexander Payne. I get really into films every three years and really love the European film tradition and documentaries.
My favourite TV shows are Parks and Recreations, Grey's Anatomy and Community.
I've recently discovered that I love reading non-fiction; biographies, (Bradt) travel guides and books on radom topics I know nothing about.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked from Durres to Thessaloniki (okay there was one train ride in Greece when we had nowhere to stay or set up a tent... BUT it was a pretty cool experience).
