I am a double PhD student at the Vrije Universiteit and Beihang University in Beijing, My major is Linguistics. I am spending one and half years at the VU, supported by a grant from the China Scholarship Council. Before starting at Beihang University in 2015, I have ever been a lecturer in Hubei Polytechnic University for eight years. I taught English Linguistics, English Teaching Methodology, English Stylistics, British and American Literature, and English Reading.
 
My research focus is cognitive semantics, the linguistic representation of causation, causative constructions, and event segmentation. My PhD dissertation is about telicity across languages, involving an empirical study of the linguistic representation of event segmentation for different types of causation in English and Mandarin.

It's a good place to make friends from different countries and know their special cultures. More importantly, if someone needs help or support, I can try my best to do something. I think everybody needs friendship and love.

I have a lovely and happy family in China. The greatest thing is the happiness that my son gives to me. I know the responsibility as a mum and I also understand the toughness of being a parent.
