Right, I never know how to fill this segment - I am having a nano anxiety attack as I'm typing. I'll be fine though...it's tiny.

I am a surface designer and visual artist, based in Casablanca Morocco. I have lived in London for 9 years where I went to art school and then worked a little. Since I've moved back to Morocco (nearly 4 years ago) I set up an environmental NGO, made several monumental immersive art installation (all with plastic waste) and destroyed 2 hiking boots...I think I should invest in better quality boots...or hike less...I'm gonna invest.

Aside from hiking, I like a good laugh, good food and good conversation. Laugh - I am of the belief that life is a bit of joke (in the best possible way) and so for that reason the only thing we really ought to do is laugh. That belief has shaped my character into something often a bit hilarious but charming (I hope). Food - I like good food for obvious reasons - brings people together, smells good, sustains the human body etc... Conversation - good conversation doesn't have to be super intellectual all the time (though when it is, it's pretty dope). Sometimes good conversation can be around the most inconsequential things, like the shape of a peanut or the distance between one eye lash and an other. I'm going to leave it at that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I thoroughly enjoy traveling and find that travels are enhanced when connections with locals are made. I've hosted passer bys in the past and I've had the best of times; though never through a platform like Couch Surfing - I come from the past you see, so technology leaves me baffled. Most of the people I have hosted where chance encounters or friends of friends of friends. I quiet like the idea of not planning a host/hosting but just embracing it as it comes. But the time has come for me to immerse myself fully in the 21st century and help the chance encounters a bit. So here I am. Happy to host, would love to be hosted.
