Hello Couchsurfing people!

In Warsaw for four days, anyone to hang out? :)

I'm Loïc, a 22 French student in politics who isn't sure about much in life apart from my love for discovering new places and people, my recurring need for cheap beer and decent wine and my somewhat more balanced approach to gym attendance... I'm currently living in Lyon, a city in south-eastern France, which is famous for its lights festival in winter, chilled nights out by the river in summer and its smashing cuisine all year round.

I want to travel as much as I possibly can and both socially and financially, it seems like the best and most intelligent alternative to anything else imaginable. And I find it so interesting and rewarding as an experience to meet people from around the world, get to know them and their cultures and (who knows) maybe develop long-lasting friendships!

I'm an absolute lover of a lot of 60s and 70s rock bands (Pink Floyd, Beatles, Who, Doors, Clash...), as well as more recent stuff.

My favourite writers include Tolkien, Flaubert, Dickens, Racine and Dostoyevsky. I’m really interested in most forms of history and flick through quite a lot of essays in social sciences for my studies.

As for films and series I really enjoy history-based and war films. Peaky Blinders has got to be my favourite series at the moment and I’m generally just a huge Lord of the Rings addict.

It's horribly cliché but scuba diving with tortoises and all sorts of colourful fish in the Caribbean Sea when I was in Guadeloupe years ago is something I still have dreams about :)

I really enjoy doing a lot of stuff, especially when abroad! I'm really fond of casually strolling around a place and city until I get lost. I'm sort of a completionist so I sort of like seeing all the corners of a new place!
I also like cycling and hiking if that's a possibility. I'm always keen on going to museums and exhibitions. Gigs and places with live music are my favourite things. Though I should probably try to reduce the alcohol part of my socialising routine I just can't refuse a drink :)

If you want to practice your French and English, I'd be very happy to lend a hand! I've been studying German and Spanish as well and still need the motivation to start Japanese: if you are a patient person who speaks any of these I'd love to practice! Piano lessons are also a possibility ;)
