Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION:
Exploring Canada, and meeting the people who make up our beautiful country. Ponder where the world is headed, and hearing what others think. Understanding how the things that surround us work.
ABOUT ME:
Geography student at the University of Victoria in B.C., looking to see new places through locals' eyes. Madly passionate about music, and food, both of which I believe are perhaps the best ways to experience a new place and/or culture. I also enjoy cooking, fiddling around with anything mechanical (I love repairing and maintaining bicycles), being outdoors, and always like to hear (and tell) a good story. Generally enjoy learning about how things work.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After my last trip (Iceland), I realized that some of the most enjoyable moments were spent talking, and plain hanging out with the few locals I had the chance to meet. I really think that interacting with locals can not only lead you to see places off the beaten path, but also see the surroundings through a different lens, which is ultimately as important (if not more) as the sights themselves.
