I'm a single Dad to two adult daughters, I've worked with people living with physical and developmental disabilities for many years. Musician, ( singer and guitarist) motorcyclist, guitar builder, into exercise, cooking and baking, the arts, educated-- BS, MS, enjoy conversations and learning from others. I'm an easy going guy and get along well with others. I took a motorcycle trip from Jefferson Wisconsin to various points in Colorado last year (2017) and didn't use this site because my friend didn't feel comfortable with the concept. This year, 2018 June 9-26 I'm riding the cycle alone from Wisconsin to Nova Scotia and from there to Washington DC for a conference then back to Wisconsin. I hope to find hosts along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in meeting new people where I travel and travelers here at home. I live in Jefferson, Wisconsin, a small rural town between Milwaukee and Madison. I also have a cool and unusual living space--I live in a large space-- an old Gymnasium in a former high school built in the late 19th century. The old gym balcony remains, I have 37 foot ceilings with a hammock hung from the steel beam along the ceiling. You can sleep in it if you like:) There are beds and a couch too! I'm willing and able to host others here.

Music? Nearly everything except death/thrash metal and modern country

Movies? No Country for old Men, Raising Arizona, The Dark Knight--mostly because of Heath Ledgers performance.

Books-- A Prayer for Owen Meany, Chesapeake. I used to be super into Stephen King until I grew up and realized that real life was sometimes scarier than supernatural fiction.

Non Violent Communication aka compassionate communication. Grew up Unitarian Universalist. I've studied Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism and other ism's. I can teach you how to ride a skateboard, how to make a great loaf of fermented German rye, sprouted grain bread, I'm an energy healer/ worker--I have a certificate in that 850 hours of training. I do bodywork part time.
