About Me
Hello! My name is Steve and I’m born and raised in the United States. Currently living in Norway and doing a masters degree in geology. Geology is my primary passion in life! Other main interests include rock climbing, traveling, and learning languages. I’m very respectful, kind, and open minded. I believe connecting with new people and experiencing new cultures are two of the most important things a person can do in this life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing to connect with new people and experience as much of the world as possible without breaking the bank of course!
Interests
Spending time in nature, rock climbing, slacklining, languages, playing piano, basketball, and volleyball.
Music, Movies, and Books
Indie rock is my favorite genre of music. Some of my all time favorite bands include Sigur Ros, Bombay Bicycle Club, Sylvan Esso, and Tame Impala. I also love nature and science documentary films. My favorite books are also mostly non fiction adventure stories.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once spent two months on a remote island in the Arctic very close to the North Pole conducting geologic field research! I’d love to share more about this experience and hear about some of the amazing things you’ve done.
Teach, Learn, Share
Whenever in a new country I always make a serious effort to learn as much of the language as possible while there.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food, conversation, help around the house, anything at all!
