I'm a dutch woman and originally moved to the UK for my undergrad in anthropology and geography. Then I decided to stay a bit longer for my master's and now I want to stay for at least another year, explore the rest of this country. I am super passionate about the environment, biodiversity and climate change, that's what I want to devote my life to.
I love adventure and like hitch-hiking everywhere, meeting very interesting people along the way. I am really into outdoor sports like hiking and whitewater kayaking. When in the city I love to dance (I've been swing dancing for years and do a bit of salsa as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Every now and then I like to visit more urban areas where camping is not ideal, so staying with people is better. With couchsurfing I can possibly experience new things, meet fascinating people. I also would like to use this as a way to practice my language skills a bit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Boat renting in the Lake of Bled was too expensive so I swam to the island in the middle of the lake and back instead, even though I had no idea I could actually make it. Turns out I could.
