Icelandic - however lived in Chile and NYC the majority of my life. Most call me Søren, but others Jon. I am a photographer, a journalist, an artist, a down to earth lover. Before my time ends here, I hope to contribute some to the greater good. An interest in people.

I am traveling throughout Europe for the next year conducting a photo journalism project documenting the immigrant and refugee crisis of our world. I would greatly appreciate any insight or advise- connections or personal understanding/experience regarding this project. We are all in it together. l live and breath this.

Movie over television. Passionate about cinematography, lets talk movies. I film on super 8. An avid reader, most recently struggling with Susan Sontag’s On Photography. Diverse music interests, but mostly jazz soul rnb rap blues funk hip hop and experimental. I make music as well.

I befriended a chess grand master and philosopher while on a photo shoot in washington square park(the full story of how we met is much more humorous and explicit, but ask me this in person). We then would meet once a week or so for the next year to talk, play chess, and enjoy each other’s company. I estimate we played over a hundred games.... I learned much from this newly formed mentor, who challenged my outlook on life and offered much wisdom- the amazing thing I did, was win 1 game!
