Hello!

My name is Omer Burak Aladag, I am 22 and I am from Turkey. I am studying Mechatronics Engineering in Sabanci University. I will be working on legged robots in Dynamic Locomotion Group in MPI, 2 July to 7 September. Beside my university life, I am a volunteer at NGO called YGA. I am one of the members of Dream Companion mobile app, which is designed for visually impaired people to read books, news, articles and watch cinema movies. Also, I am one of the field leaders of Science Movement which we do science sessions with Syrian refugees kids, kids from orphanages and visually imparied kids (Age 12-14 years old).

I don't smoke, sometimes I go to cafes to smoke shisha/hookah/nargile. I rarely drink alcohol, I don't like clubbing, but I like to go to pubs/coffee shops to talk with people. I love anykind of coffee and tea. I like travelling, last year I went Hong Kong as an exchange student and travelled 8 countries. If I have time to travel, I am planning to do same thing in my free time. I also did outdoor sports in my school, camping, hikes etc. But time is really issue for this summer, I don't know whether I would have time to do such things. I like cooking, probably I will cook mostly since eating outside is expensive. And a final note, I will bring just couple of clothes (medium size luggage) and my personal computer (a laptop) to work on my research. I’ll probably work, rest, watch movies/cartoons/TvShows, I may read comics and go to cinema if there is. Also, I walk during night to just listen myself, I put my earphones on and just go outside. It really helps me to relief and rest.

During my internship I'll try to explore Europe as I did in Asia when I was studying in there. What I learnt from those trips is that local people is best way to learn about that city and the culture.
