Overview
About Me
Curious, openminded and passionate about exploring the world and meeting people from different cultures.
I'm a big nature enthusiast, enjoy tranquil places, love slow hikes, island hopping and cultural exploration.
People often describe me as "serious" or "random", but really I just have an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a thousand unanswered questions in my head all the time.
My proudest feat so far? Traveling across Vietnam on a motorbike.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I get to meet people that I won't normally run into, expand my perspective and offer a listening ear.
I lose myself in philosophical contemplation sometimes and travel is the perfect antidote to every philosophical crisis I've had. All because the new perspectives on life I gain from people, things, cultures... encountered on the road are nothing like what I know and am familiar with. That Aha moment is definitely the pinnacle of all experiences.
Interests
Tech (AI and data science particularly), psychology (fascinated by "Behave"), philosophy (reading Nietzsche), history (obsessed with WWII lately), geography, socioeconomics, geopolitical conflicts... and many more hyperfixations 😂

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm an avid reader, in fact reading is my number one past time. I enjoy Nietzsche and Marcus Aurelius' philosophy. I mostly read nonfiction, though my latest fiction read was "The midnight library" which was surprisingly enjoyable. Haruki Murakami is my personal GOAT novelist.
I also love horror movies, true-crime, documentaries, and thrillers. Some of my all time favorites are 7 years in Tibet, The unbearable lightness of being, The good place, and Fleabag!
The range of music I listen to is very broad. I have mood-based playlists to provide me with dopamine boosts when I work, read, work out, or daydream. That said, One Direction, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran's songs will always be my picks during karaoke sing-offs :)

Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to hear your life stories and important decisions you've made in your life 😊 I find myself wondering what others would do in my position a lot, so getting a sneak peek into people's thought process is seriously soooooo enticing to me.
Besides, I always enjoy learning about the history and cultural importance of the places I'm about to see, just so I can fully grasp the context during my visit and take away something with me once I leave. I try to talk to locals or do some reading to understand the local way of life as much as I can. I love asking people why things are the way they are and enjoy answering the same sort of question coming from visitors in my country.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cultural exchange, productivity tool suggestions, how to learn everything and anything from zero (from my experience) and I can host you while you visit my city (for now, Sydney)!
