About Me
Hi!
I’m an actor who has spent the last ten years living in New York City. I love theatre, music, dance, art, nature, yoga and energy, in every sense of the word.
I grew up in a small town in Virginia and spent my summers living with relatives on an island off of the coast of Maine, which is where I became an avid hiker and lover of nature.
I attended a Waldorf School growing up, for which I will be eternally grateful. It taught me to listen and to learn with my heart, my hands and my mind. It was more than just academic schooling, it was an experience of love and acceptance of all living beings (and things). It’s also the reason that I’m an actor. I was a very shy kid and hated the idea of speaking in front of people onstage. My Main Lesson teacher still teases me to this day, reminding me how ironic it is that I became an actor when I once stubbornly refused to participate in the annual class play. Once I did though, I realized very quickly that there is something completely amazing and unique about acting and theatre in particular. It really saved me. It brought me to life in a way that I had never before experienced.
I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. It seems obvious, but I think connecting with other people, with nature and with animals are the most important, grounding and positive experiences we can have. Everyone needs and wants to give and receive love in this life. I think one of the simplest facts that we humans often times forget is that treating others (ALL others) with kindness is the quickest road to happiness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling and I have realized that traveling alone is a fantastic way to meet others and really learn about the local culture. I want to experience more than the tourist attractions when I travel. I think meeting the local people of a region is the most important part of shaping how you will experience a particular place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I walked from France to the coast of Spain on the Camino this past May, which was such a spiritually awakening and awe inspiring experience that I decided to change my return ticket home and continue to learn more about myself and others through further travels. It’s been wonderful, and at times challenging living in this way with no plans and therefore endless possibilities, but there’s always something to learn and gain from these invaluable experiences. It’s been a truly incredible journey.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning whatever I can pick up of the language of the country I’m traveling in. I also enjoy teaching English words and expressions to others. I’m very interested in learning about different cultures.
