My current mission originates from ATATÜRK's word that is "Peace at home, peace in the world!".
If you want to change the world and make the peace all around, first start it from your heart then spread it to your body, room, home, street, neighborhood, district, city, country, continent, world and it will spread all around the universe.

ABOUT ME!
Hi there! I am Önder from Istanbul. I am an engineer and an MSc. student at Istanbul Technical University. I see myself as a part-time traveler. When I find enough time and money I am traveling sometimes in my country and sometimes around the world :D

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

During traveling, I prefer to surf so I can create a more solid connection to the destination by meeting people and getting to experience the area from a local's perspective. I end up seeing parts of a place I never would have otherwise.
I host to give back to the community that has welcomed me, to share my home with travelers, and help them have an insider's perspective of the city in which I'm living.

CS is not just a free hostel or something like that :)

Música, películas y libros

I listen to the music according to the mood I have in general, but in recent times the classic hits which all-out 70s,80s, and 90s attract my attention.
I usually have choices that are far from popular culture, but depending on the situation, my decision may change. Following IMDB top 250 and here are some examples for my bests: Forrest Gump, Good Will Hunting, İnto the Wild, The Sixth Sence, Lord of the Rings...
As in movies, there are also choices far away from popular culture in books. I am generally reading from Russian and French literature, but my favorites are somewhat different: Jack London- Martin Eden, Henri Charrière- Papillon, Khaled Hosseini- Kite Runner...

The most beautiful experience in my life is diving in Redsea :D

I passed the Bosphorus Bridge that is connecting the Asian and the European Continent by running over it. And I finished 10km within a 43'26''.

I have stayed 1 night in the middle of the desert in Egypt.
