Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Brenda, a friendly and curious soul from Mexico, currently exploring the world and seeking meaningful connections with people, places, and cultures. I believe in the magic of sharing stories, meals, and small everyday moments that bring us closer.
My journey weaves through art, the defense of nature, ancestral wisdom, yoga, and meditation. I’m passionate about environmental communication and community work—I studied Environmental Engineering, and I work on projects that connect people to nature through creativity, dialogue, and collective action.
I love to dance, walk around new places, go to artistic and cultural events, and spend time in nature. Cooking is one of my love languages, and I enjoy deep philosophical conversations just as much as laughing over something silly.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing, to me, is a beautiful way to learn from others, share experiences, and build bridges between worlds. I’m easygoing, respectful, and always happy to contribute—whether it’s helping out at home, preparing a meal, or just listening with an open heart.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived for six months in a remote natural reserve in Baja California as a park ranger and creative resident. I was surrounded by volcanoes, wetlands, migratory birds, coyotes, and the Pacific Ocean—completely immersed in wild beauty. I got around on a quad bike, communicated through a radio, and spent my days between conservation work, art, and deep introspection. The night skies were the most breathtaking I’ve ever seen—full of stars and silence. That time changed the way I see life and strengthened my love for nature.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
I can share some of my knowledge and experience in environmental education with kids, women circles, yoga, meditation, Mexican culture, and vegetarian cooking. I also love creating art and can guide small creative or reflective activities if you're into that.
Learn:
I love learning about local cultures, traditions, and languages. I'm always open to new philosophies, music styles, recipes, spiritual practices, and ways of seeing the world. I believe every encounter is a mirror and a lesson.
Share:
Great conversations, homemade meals, deep thoughts and silly laughs, nature walks, music sessions, and cultural outings. I’m happy to contribute to the home in any way I can, and I always try to bring good vibes and presence to the space we share.
