Hi! I am Valu, I live in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay (the tiny country between Argentina and Brazil). I am a simple person, I really enjoy being outdoors in nature, doing picnics in parks, hiking, riding a bike or just walking. I also love all kind of animals, literally. I have a cute dog named Chester.

I am trying to go vegetarian, but while living in Uruguay its very difficult because the red meat is the main product that the country has (there are 3m people and 12m cows, so imagine meat is everywhere). I like all kind of food specially greek and italian, the only thing I dont like is seafood and fish.

I also enjoy reading and watching movies it relaxes me. I love having my personal space but I also like good company so, a balance in between its perfect for me. What I most enjoy is the cultural exchange between people including culture, food and language. I think the world is so diverse and are so many things to learn and explore!

What I am currently very concerned is the global warming and environment destruction so, personally I am trying to do my best in recycling and reducing all ways of contamination. I am even planning on doing a Master course on the subject, our planet is so beautiful and we are destroying it so fast!.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-I met Harry Potter (well, Daniel Radcliffe actually).
-I used to have a boat and sail with my father on the Atlantic coast.
-As a final project of my biotechnology career I made a biofertilizer for alfalfa (so the use of chemical fertilizer can decrease and the contamination too).
