Originally from California, USA, I'm happiest floating in the waves, but fell in love with snowy mountains and powder days as an ski instructor in Colorado, USA. I'm currently based in Amsterdam, finishing my masters in rehabilitation. I like bike adventures, traveling, yoga friends, anarchist coffee shops, beer banter, book clubs, live music, bbqs in the park, 420 friendly if the moment calls for it, wild camping, hiking, and petting dogs. I believe in stringing together life's happy moments --like drinking with friends on warm summer nights, eating dessert first, and the moments when uncontrollable laughter turns strangers into friends. PS: I'm also LGBTQ, I identify as queer, if you're not comfortable with that we might not be a good fit.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books are my favorite! As a kid a Wrinkle in Time was my favorite book. I read a lot of nonfiction, I especially Mary Roach, I've started a few book clubs over the years (fiction, nonfiction, queer). Currently I read a lot of research articles about rehabilitation (grad school)

TV/ Movies: Does anyone else love/ hate how scary accurate Netflix is getting? -- Currently watching Glow, Sisters, Stay Here, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. We'd also probably get along if you like Pulp Fiction, Shaun of the Dead, Kill Bill, Grandma's Boy, of Tank Girl.

Music: City and Color, Purity Ring, Lemonade, Regina Spektor, Jurassic 5, Miles Davis. I love seeing almost any kind of live music . My goal this year is to upload a video of myself playing my ukulele on YouTube.

I've been paleo, vegan, and a foodie. I'm less into rules but I will probably know how to feed you or respect your rules! I love trying new spicy foods, making homemade pizza, and eating too much fresh picked fruit in a sitting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I teach adaptive swimming and skiing. It's a really great feeling to help people who are normally confined to a wheelchair feel the rush of flying down a mountain or the serenity of floating in the water.
