Hello my name is James Mitchell and I am an American student from California who is studying international relations and Italian in Florence for 9 months. I love to surf, skateboard, Slackline, hike and pretty much anything that is outdoors, I am looking to meet new local people that I can share my European experience with.

Musica, film e libri

I listen to all types of music from classical to rock and roll to techno. My favorite band since I was a kid is Jethro Tull but I’m more recent times I listen to a lot more house music and other electronic genres. I watch a lot of movies of all kinds. Favorite movies are probably Big Fish and American Beauty. I also love anything Pixar

The most amazing trip that I have been on so far was a 30 day backpacking trip through the Alaskan wilderness. It was a life changing experience that gave me a new appreciation for nature and help me to gain great outdoors skills.

I can make my best attempt at teaching English and I can teach surfing skating Slackline and a lot of things regarding nature through my experiences. I am always looking to learn from people whatever it may be about. I would love to learn more about whatever country I’m staying in and learning as much of that language as I can.
