Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve been using CS for quite a while now - just not so much on this profile. First experience with CS was in 2014, when my sister, parents, and I bicycled from Malaga to Copenhagen (4200km💪🏾🚵‍♂️). It took seven weeks, and we mainly stayed with CS and Warmshower hosts, which was a nice way of learning about the world as a 12 y/o. I’m so privileged that I grew up in an amazing family, whom have taken me around the world travelling in an interesting peoplemeeting way. This way of travelling and exploring with hitchhiking, hiking, bicycling, and what I would call peacemaking while living with people of different cultures and trusting them, has grown into a part of my being and therefore, I’ve obviously also started travelling on my own, but yeah, as said, never with this profile on CS. Based on this eager to have a globetrotter way of living, I went to live a year in Argentina close to Cordoba, after finishing secondary school as a 16 y/o. Also, as when I wrote this text, I was laying on my sleeping mat at my friend’s host brother’s apartment in Santa Fe capital, Argentina. For the first time since leaving South America I had gotten the chance to come back. It’s was amazing. The day after I went to Patagonia with my backpack. Was really excited. Hoped to meet lots of Couchsurfers and I did indeed.

So yeah, my whole point about writing these experiences were to point out that I’m not totally green in this world even though this profile is new:D

Bonus fact: I’ve grown really used to hosting adventures bicycle folks on the community called Warmshowers at home, so I have some nice experience in hosting:))🚴‍♂️🛀🚿

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’m triple vaccinated, and have had COVID. I don’t know if that is the definition of incredible, but I like to think it will make future travels more safe for those I will meet on my way:)
