Aloha, I am new to couch surfing. My name is long so people call me Ku. I'm a mixed-race Native Hawaiian from Hawaii Island (AKA the Big Island). I study chemical engineering in the mainland U.S. at the University of Colorado Boulder. I am currently studying abroad at the University of Canterbury. After my semester is over, I plan on exploring North Island so I can visit Māori cultural sites. I also plan on doing adrenaline activities (i.e. bungy jumping, zorb, ziplining) and seeing nature. I chose to study abroad in New Zealand because I wanted to learn about another Polynesian culture.
