Hello! I'm Yik Lam (my name is not yik😅), but I also go by Cherry 🍒. I am from Hong Kong and lived in Berlin as an exchange student last year.

I major in Anthropology so I am always observing people's social behaviours and cultural differences. When I am silent, I may be secretly observing you while taking field notes in my head 🧐 (Good excuse for being an introvert🥴)

My dream job has nothing to do with this subject. I am interested in cooking vegan food, so I wish to open a vegan cafe or restaurant. I also want to own a hostel because I love meeting people from different parts of the world to know about their cultures. Therefore, maybe I am going to open a vegan hostel that promotes veganism and celebrates cultural diversity 🌱😁 perhaps couchsurfing is a starting point! I am happy to share with you my ideas and of course, vegan food😋

I love the nature and enjoy spending time outdoors. Always up for a hike or a picnic🤗🤗

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a backpacking trip in Georgia for two weeks in August, 2018 with my sister. I was sponsored by a youth organisation in Hong Kong by vlogging and writing travel journals to promote tourism in Georgia. It was an unforgettable and amazing journey! I will definitely return to Georgia

Currently learning German and French. I can teach you Cantonese but not Mandarin because Cantonese is my mother tongue with which I am more confident.

I can cook for/with you. My dream is to open a vegan restaurant so I would like to learn traditional food from your country and perhaps veganize it if needed.
