World-hungry couple from Würzburg (Germany) currently on a world trip since 1st of April 2022.
We basically own only what’s in our backpacks 🎒

This trip has already gone far beyond what we have expected and has shaped us in so many ways. We have no words how grateful we are for all the love and generosity that we have received through Couchsurfing and other encounters throughout our journey!

We’re both couchsurfing and travelling -proven and have many different interests, so there'll be surely something to chat about!
We love to meet new people, especially locals, to see how they live and experience the most in culture and nature of their beautiful country.

We pretty much enjoy a good hike, but also like to lay at the beach or roaming around the city for local "off the path"-spots; or going out for food/ coffee/ sightseeing.
We hope for good conversations, debates about each others country and their politics, the universe and if you have- a couch to surf on!

René likes to visit football stadiums in different countries, whereas you will find Nina more in a Yoga Session or enjoying a good cake (;

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love to get to know country and people in the most authentic way. Of course it is cool to hang out with other travelers in a backpacker hostel, but it's never the same to discover the origin of a place and its inhabitants like with openminded locals! After leaving a place, it was always the people who made our experience and filled our hearts ☺
We‘re more than grateful for all the beautiful souls that crossed our paths so far and gifted us with their time and love.

[side-note: Nina would love to attend any kind of craftsmenship, so if you know: machine-sewing, making jewelry, pottery, gardening, herbalism, making mosaics out of shards, learning an instrument (guitar/violin)..
or you know places/workshops nearby your home, please share your skills/knowledge 🥰
Also spiritual gatherings, yoga-classes, women-circles, chocolate-ceremonies are mostly welcome to share with her!]

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Sunrise and sundowner in Sahara
-Midnight Sun in Norway
-Travelling through Europe in our Van
-Volunteering in the Paraguayan Jungle
-Great White Shark Diving + Bungee Jumping in South Africa
-Skydiving in Patagonia, Chile
-Sleeping under full moon on Great Barrier Reef in Pat‘s Boat
-Sunset in the Pacific while being surrounded by seaturtles in Liuqiu island, Taiwan
-Travelling around the world without any timelimit
-hitchhiking almost the entire Silk Road (and many other countries)
-homes and additional families all over the world ❤️

We also had a couple of crazy experiences, we are grateful for as they shaped us in different ways: arguing about religion with the Taliban; getting interrogated by the Iranian Secret Service; almost capsizing with a ferry in Indonesia; nearly falling down several hundred meters of a cliff in Pakistan; getting chased by a wild elephant in Sri Lanka and more.. 😅
