About Me

Hello!

I love meeting new people, eating any kind of food, dancing 💃🏻 and learning new things about anything. I’m an easygoing and positive person.

I am not currently living in Mexico City but I would love to share some things about my city.

Places

Mexico City is full of traffic and people. So take your time, relax and enjoy. If you are staying in downtown you should go to:
- Bella artes
- Castillo de Chapultepec
- Zocalo
- Angel de la independencia
- Monumento a la revolución
- Museo de antropología
- Museo Sumaya
Other places you should visit but are away from downtown:
- Coyoacán (casa de Friday Khalo)
- Xochimilco (trajineras)
- Teotihuacán (pyramids)

Safety

As any other city there are always dangerous places. The safest places in the city are:
- Polanco
- Condesa
- Roma
You can party in any of this places and feel safe, there is police around. Clubs and bars close around 3am and Uber is very cheap for foreigners.

Transportation

We have so many taxi apps. I always use Uber and I’m still alive haha. A taxi should always use taxímetro unless you use a private one. Public transportation is very inefficient. If you take subway and it’s too crowded better to take care of your belongings pickpockets take advantage of that. The only metro stations you should probably visit are Polanco and zócalo (there is sometimes exhibitions). Be careful with pickpockets in public transportation. There are some apps for renting bikes and scooters in downtown.

Food

It’s good mostly everywhere. There is a believe that if you see a crowded restaurant that means food is good there haha 😂. We have a big variety of tacos. Any kind of meat can be a taco. Tacos al pastor and barbacoa are my favorites. Chilaquiles are so typical in the City. Esquites and elotes are the best snacks, please try them. I heard downtown has really good restaurants. If you want a good coffee try “el jarocho” I believe you only find it in Coyoacán (not sure).

I hope you enjoy my city. We don’t have a good level of English but we will still try to help you. Ask more than once if you want to reach a place (I always get confused with people’s explanations in the city). I wish everyone a good experience and any doubt I’d be happy to help!
